DES MOINES, IOWA (December 2, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate issued the following statement today regarding the Iowa Caucuses:

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 1, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate announced the Iowa State Board of Canvassers officially certified the results of the 2022 general election on Thursday. Election turnout was the second highest in state history for a midterm election, with 1,230,416 voters casting ballots.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 18, 2022) — Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins shares the Administrative Recount is officially complete. “Thank you again for your patience as we worked through this process. I am very appreciative of the support of our machine vendor who assisted us.” said Tompkins.

The final ASVP Precinct number for Scott County is 23,362. All reports are posted on our website, as well as the Iowa SOS website.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 18, 2022) — Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins shares the Administrative Recount will continue with a final machine count on November 18, 2022, 8:30AM.

“Thank you for your patience and the tireless efforts of our poll workers. I am truly grateful for their work. I would like to clarify again how we got to this point,” reported Tompkins.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 11, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate announces the administrative recounts he requested for Des Moines and Warren counties were completed on Thursday and Iowa’s unofficial election results have been updated. Both counties experienced issues with reporting complete results on election night.

There were approximately 2,000 uncounted ballots in Warren County and approximately 800 in Des Moines County.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 11, 2022) — Scott County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, Kerri Tompkins, announced on Thursday, November 10, that a Post-Election Audit of the ballots cast in B22 in the recent primary election confirmed the results from election night.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 9, 2022) — While some areas are still reporting absentee and early-vote totals, it appears mathematically safe to declare that the Rick Stewart/Marco Battaglia top of the ballot ticket received enough votes to clear the 2% threshold for party status in Iowa.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 8, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate and Hy-Vee stores are joining forces to honor Iowa’s military members on Veterans Day. Hy-Vee is hosting a free breakfast at all Iowa store locations for veterans and active service members on Friday, November 11. Hy-Vee will also be circulating the Iowa Secretary of State’s “Honor A Veteran” postcards, encouraging Iowans to honor a loved one who has served our country.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (November 3, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate gathered his “Election Security A Team” for a news conference Thursday to reassure voters of the many steps taken to provide a secure election. Leaders of state and federal agencies were on hand at the Iowa National Guard’s Joint Forces Headquarters to provide information on what they’re doing to ensure a safe, smooth, accurate voting process on November 8.
