DES MOINES, IOWA (February 2, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds released the following statement in response to Governor Sarah Sanders giving the Official GOP Response to President Biden’s State of the Union Address next week:

“Gov Sarah Sanders has been a longtime friend and I am so proud of her for being selected to give the Official GOP Response. It’s a tremendous honor, and nobody is better prepared than her.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 31, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has approved more than $440,000 to cover a backlog of Iowa Veterans Trust Fund (IVTF) grants that were approved by the Iowa Commission of Veterans Affairs between March 3, 2021, and November 3, 2022, before the program was temporarily suspended due to insufficient funds. The funds are from the state’s allocation of Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, through the American Rescue Plan Act.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 27, 2023) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird led a bipartisan coalition of seven Attorneys-General urging the Biden Administration to follow the law and respond to the request of Governor Kim Reynolds and seven other Governors that the EPA issue regulations allowing the sale of year-round E15 ethanol gasoline in their States.
