DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 13, 2019) — The Rock Island Art Guild, a volunteer-run organization founded in 1955, promotes and fosters the appreciation of the visual arts in the Quad Cities. Beginning Saturday, the Guild’s 41st juried exhibition will be installed in the Figge Art Museum’s fourth-floor gallery.

 

MUSCATINE, IOWA (January 8, 2020) — The Muscatine Art Center will host A Visual Arts Retrospective by Dan Rohde, January 11 through March 8, 2020. The exhibition will be on view in the historic Musser-McColm mansion. “Though it is impossible for me to see my art projects through others’ eyes, I hope these images and forms can be appreciated as original creative efforts,” commented Rohde.

 

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 24, 2019) — The new year will bring new hands-on learning and growth opportunities for area students starting January 4, with the return of the Explorers and Explorers Jr youth workshops at the Putnam.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (December 24, 2019) — Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport presents Emily Fitzpatrick’s landscape paintings, Kelly Schnell’s acrylic paintings, and Colleen Curry’s mixed-media fiber art. All three women are from Iowa. The exhibit is from January 3-March 3, 2020, at the Quad City International Airport Gallery, 2200 69th Ave, Moline, Illinois.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (December 16, 2019) — Quad City Arts is pleased to announce Arts Dollars grants for the 2020 cycle. Applications are welcome from individual artists, K-12 schools, and non-profit organizations partnering with artists. All art forms are eligible. Since 1990, Quad City Arts has supported the local art community by awarding more than $1,000,000 in grants to local artists, non-profit organizations, and schools.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 20, 2019) — On exhibit from December 13, 2019 through January 24, 2020 will be photographs by Chris Rayburn of Davenport, Iowa, watercolors by Tim Schiffer of Iowa City, Iowa, and giant glass goblets by John Miller of Champaign, Illinois.
