DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 30, 2019) — With area students back in the classroom, the Putnam will kick off an all-new lineup of informal learning workshops starting September, with topics ranging from explosive volcanoes to “under-wraps” mummies.

Monthly Explorers and Explorers Jr. youth workshops return Saturday, Sept. 7, with openings for Pre-K through Grade 5, at the Putnam Museum and Science Center. Programs fill up quickly, and pre-registration is required.

CLINTON, IOWA (August 22, 2019) — The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center, "Clinton, Iowa's Children's Museum," is having a splendid week of fun and play. On Wednesday, be amazed with a home-made science experiment. On Friday, celebrate Trail Mix Day. Each of these programs is free with regular museum admission or membership. Also, please remember that the Discovery Center is a Blue Star Museum, granting free admission to active-duty military and their families through August 31.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 15, 2019) — Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy is seeking submissions for their October show, "Les Petites: Big creativity. Small Package." The show will feature artwork in 2D, 3D, or collage, as long as it's within the spacial confines of 12" x 12". The show will have an opening reception on Friday, October 4, 5:30-7:30PM.
