What: Regional and community leaders will make a bipartisan case for the need for accurate and complete figures about our community during the We All Are Connected: Quad Cities Census News Conference. The free, public event will discuss the importance of accurate Census data in determining the allocation of more than $800 billion in federal funding each year.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (June 18, 2019) — The 2020 Census kicks off in just one year, and local hospitals, nonprofits, and government agencies that bring our federal tax-dollars back to the community are counting on the people of the Quad Cities — literally.

 

MUSCATINE, IOWA (June 11, 2019) — Stunning photographs and exquisite wood vessels will be on view this summer at the Muscatine Art Center. Des Moines photographer Molly Wood will exhibit her Omnia Vanitas series, and Quad City area artists Steve Sinner and Joe Meirhaeghe will showcase their wood vessels.

 

DAVENPORT, Iowa (June 7, 2019) — An Emmy Award-winning television editor and Quad Cities native is bringing his first feature film home with a Q&A and movie screening Thursday evening, June 13, at the Putnam.

Director David Franklin will present his 2016 independent movie debut, As Far As the Eye Can See, which stars Jason London (Dazed and Confused), beginning at 6:30PM.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 4, 2019) — On exhibit from June 28 through August 16, 2019, will be paintings by Christopher Reno of Galesburg, IL, and digital collages by Rene Meyer Ernst of Davenport, Iowa.

 

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 30, 2019) — The Putnam Museum and Science Center has a new leader. After an extensive search, the Putnam Museum and Science Center board of directors announced that well-known community leader and education-advocate Rachael Mullins Steiner will become president and CEO of the Putnam Museum and Science Center effective July 1. 

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 28, 2019) — The Figge Art Museum will sign a new contract with City of Davenport and Quad Cities Cultural Trust on Monday, June 3, at 2:30PM in the Figge’s Quad City Bank and Trust Grand Lobby. 

 

CLINTON, IOWA (May 23, 2019) — The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center, "Clinton, Iowa's Children's Museum," is ending May in a great way with these events and activities. Make a special patriotic suncatcher on WOW Wednesday. Then, jump around at Funtime Friday. Each of these programs is free with regular museum admission or membership. Felix Adler Day, on June 15, is almost here.
