THE BLACK BOX THEATRE ANNOUNCES DATE CHANGE FOR LOVE LETTERS

MOLINE, IL – The Black Box Theatre is excited to announce that Broadway and television star Gene Weygandt will be performing at the theatre on October 20 and 21 in A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters.” Mr. Weygandt will share the stage with Lora Adams. Weygandt played the “Wonderful Wizard of Oz” in “Wicked” in Chicago and on Broadway.

The great new vocal harmony group 3 to blame will be featured guests when the Bucktown Revue kicks off its new season Friday, Sept. 22,  at the Davenport Nighswander Junior Theater.
 

City Circle Acting Company of Coralville will hold auditions for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on September 29 and 30. Auditions for the children’s choir (2nd through 6th grade) will be Friday, September 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Auditions for everyone else will be Saturday, September 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

City Circle Acting Company of Coralville will present Peter and the Starcatcher on September 22-24 at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts. Performances are September 22 and 23 at 7:30 pm and September 24 at 2:00 pm.

Amana- James and the Giant Peach, is the Old Creamery’s fall Theatre for Young Audiences show that opens on September 16 and runs through September 30. Show times are September 16, 23, and 30 at 1:00pm and on September 23 at 10:00am.

The Bucktown Revue returns to the Davenport Nighswander Junior Theater Friday, Sept. 22. Featured guests include touring singer/songwriter Lewis Knudsen, the Miracle Bluegrass Band from Geneseo, the vocal trio 3 to Blame, Frankie Joe Willderman, and Miss Sophia Pike.
