Main Amana, IA: Amana Arts Guild’s Festival of the Arts to celebrate 40 years on August 12th, 2017. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 10:00AM and end at 5:00PM in the Main Amana Market Barn, 707 46TH Ave. Amana.
Woodfest August 25-27 will attract woodcrafters of all types from throughout the Midwest. The festival features ongoing demonstrations or you can shop for furniture, home and garden décor, toys, bowls, carvings, tools and more.
Woodfest is known for handcrafted wood items, tools and equipment, demonstrations and sales, along with the opportunity to visit with regional and national woodcrafters and wood product vendors.
Amana, Iowa – Load up the kids and make the trip to the scenic seven villages of the Amana Colonies as they celebrate Kinderfest! The weekend of July 22-23 will be dedicated to fun for children of all ages. Enjoy this two day festival full of activities and games.
The Amana Arts Guild Gallery in High Amana will display an exhibit of recent works by local area artists from July 6 through September 4. The Greater Amana Area Art Show includes all media from folk arts to fine art. An open house is planned for Thursday July 6, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

German Iowa and the Global Midwest is a series of linked events exploring Iowa’s multicultural history through the largest group of European origin to settle in the state. These events will shine light on present-day issues, including pro- and anti-immigration sentiment, the value and challenges of bilingualism, and issues of multiculturalism.
