DES MOINES, IOWA (April 13, 2020) — The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 123 additional positive cases for a total of 1,710 positive cases. There have been an additional 981 negative tests for a total of 16,986 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. 

According to IDPH, an additional 2 deaths were also reported.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 13, 2020) — On April 11, The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) had been notified of 122 additional positive cases for a total of 1,510 positive cases. There have been an additional 1,057 negative tests for a total of 15,622 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. 

According to IDPH, an additional 3 deaths were also reported.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 10, 2020) — Today, Governor Kim Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the State Public Health Emergency Declaration.

The proclamation provides additional regulatory relief necessary to respond to this public health disaster. This includes provisions to give health facilities greater flexibility, remove certain in-person regulatory requirements, and permit community colleges and school districts to adjust to the suspension of in-person instruction.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 9, 2020) — The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 125 additional positive cases for a total of 1,270 positive cases. There have been an additional 882 negative tests for a total of 13,703 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs.

According to IDPH, an additional 2 deaths were also reported.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 9, 2020) — On April 8, Governor Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation declaring Thursday, April 9, as a “Day of Prayer” in Iowa, urging Iowans to “unite in prayer” in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, inviting Iowans to participate in the 59th Annual Iowa Prayer Breakfast, which is offered entirely online this year.

There have been an additional 1,151 negative tests for a total of 12,821 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 7, 2020) — The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 102 additional positive cases for a total of 1,048 positive cases. There have been an additional 1,017 negative tests for a total of 11,670 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 6, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the State Public Health Emergency Declaration, ordering additional closures and relaxing additional regulations to support the state’s efforts to combat COVID-19. The proclamation also calls on law enforcement to assist in the enforcement of these mitigation efforts. Gov Reynolds discussed the new proclamation at her 11:00 a.m. press conference.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 6, 2020) — The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 83 additional positive cases for a total of 868 positive cases. There have been an additional 519 negative tests for a total of 9,973 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. An additional 8 deaths were reported to IDPH.
