On May 13, the Quad City Symphony Orchestra invites family audiences to “Be Our Guest!” and experience an animated Disney classic like never before, with the ensemble and conductor Ernesto Estigarribia proudly presenting Disney's Beauty & the Beast in Concert, the Oscar-winning masterpiece enjoying a big-screen showing at Davenport's Adler Theatre alongside live accompaniment by the ensemble's thrilling musical talents.

With his most recent album I'm with You lauded by No Depression as "a welcome offering of rootsy and rooted songs that celebrate and contemplate the personal, present moment," folk, blues, and alt-country singer/songwriter William Elliott Whitmore headlines a May 13 concert at Maquoketa's Codfish Hollow Barn, his latest recording also inspiring Glide magazine to state that the artist "has the rare ability to paint vivid pictures with his words."

Headlining a May 18 concert co-presented by Rocktown Entertainment Group, West Coast hip-hop and rap artist Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony plays Davenport's Redstone Room in support of his newest release I’m Busy, an 18 track recording featuring the contributions of his sons Lil Bizzy and YBL Sinatra.

With gifted vocalist and ensemble leader Donovan Tea currently celebrating his astonishing 39th year with the group, the beloved pop vocalists of the Lettermen make their long-awaited return to the Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse on May 15, their ever-popular springtime engagements overflowing with timeless hits such as “When I Fall in Love,” “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” “Hurt So Bad,” and “Shangri-La.”

Avatar, May 14

Billboard-charting Swedish artists currently in their third decade of performance, the heavy-metal rockers of Avatar headline a May 14 concert at East Moline's The Rust Belt in support of their 2023 release Dance Devil Dance, a recording that inspired Subjective Sounds to deem it the band's "most rhythmically melodic groove-based metal album to date."

His solo-album debut Dangerous Things lauded by Building Our Own Nashville as "full of mezmerising and captivating, sweet sounding melodies," indie-rock singer/songwriter and instrumentalist Dan Layus headlines a May 12 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the artist also revered as the vocalist, piano player, and primary lyricist for the chart-topping band Augustana.

Composed of New Jersey-based musicians Brandon Asraf (bass guitar and vocals) and John Tacon (drums, electronic samples, and vocals), the indie-rock duo Brick + Mortar headlines a May 16 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel in support of their latest release Melting Up, the 2022 recording that led The Other Side Reviews to state that "the layers of the melody and vocals touch on the light and dark of the world that the band is so wonderfully able to bring to life."
