BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 3, 2019) — United Way of the Quad Cities is proud to partner once again with the National Association of Letter Carriers as part of the nation’s largest, one-day Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This unique partnership is set to gather non-perishable food-donations for the local River Bend Foodbank during the 27th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA (May 3, 2019) — The pitching staff of the Quad Cities River Bandits continued to dominate as they picked up a series-opening 2-0 win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps on Friday night at Parkview Field. The River Bandits have not allowed a run in the last 17.0 innings and improved to 4-0 on the road trip.  Scott Schreiber’s two-run home run in the sixth inning provided all of the offense.

EASTLAKE, OHIO (May 2, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits completed a sweep of the Lake County Captains by winning both games of a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at Classic Park. The Bandits picked up a 7-2 win when the game that was suspended on Wednesday was resumed and then received their first complete game of the year from Nivaldo Rodriguez in a 1-0 victory in the nightcap. Brett Conine and Rodriguez, the two starting pitchers, combined to throw 14.0 scoreless innings on the day.
