Iowa's largest parade, and the kick-off to the Fair, is set for Wednesday, August 7. The 2019 Fair runs August 8-18, 2019.

CLINTON, IOWA (April 25, 2019) — The Clinton LumberKings scored five runs over the final two-innings to turn a tie game into a series-opening 7-2 victory over the Quad Cities River Bandits on Thursday afternoon at Ashford University Field. The game was the final contest in a stretch of 19 consecutive games away from Modern Woodmen Park for the River Bandits to open the season.

The lawmakers are also raising questions about potential efforts by senior FBI officials to use briefings with the Trump transition team as intelligence gathering operations.

On April 1, The Supreme Court of the United States ruled against death-row inmate Russell Bucklew's appeal of his execution method. Nixing his claim that a rare medical condition would make the execution unconstitutionally "cruel and unusual" by virtue of being excruciatingly painful, the Court (in an opinion written by Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch) held that the Eighth Amendment "does not guarantee a prisoner a painless death."
