WASHINGTON DC (March 14, 2019) — Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa joined Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina in introducing the PROTECT Asbestos Victims Act, common-sense legislation that provides much-needed oversight of asbestos-bankruptcy trusts to ensure victims receive fair and just compensation. The bill is also cosponsored by Senators John Cornyn of Texas and Mike Crapo of Idaho.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 14, 2019) — Davenport Public Works has provided details regarding two situations that will impact travel. E Locust is reduced to one lane in each direction between Tremont and Locust streets due to a manhole collapse. Repairs are anticipated to be complete by or before Friday, March 29. W 6th Street is closed between Telegraph and Howell streets for repairs to a 60-inch storm sewer line. The time to repair and re-open the road is unknown at this time.
