Secretary Pate, EAC partner for IT, cybersecurity training for county auditors

ALTOONA – Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate and the U.S. Elections Assistance Commission (EAC) partnered on Wednesday to conduct information technology workshops for county auditors and their staff. EAC Chairman Matt Masterson and Director of Testing and Certification Brian Hancock joined Secretary Pate and his staff for the Election Officials as IT Managers training at the Adventureland Inn in Altoona.

State of Illinois prices $750 million in bonds

CHICAGO (Nov. 29, 2017) — Today the State of Illinois priced $750 million in new money General Obligation bonds for 2018 capital expenditures. Bond proceeds will be used to fund major capital construction projects and finance information technology projects.

Hauberg Estate to host 50th Annual "Winter in Bloom" Holiday Open House

Volunteers have played a huge part this year in preparing the mansion for the holiday season and each room has been beautifully decorated. New activities have been added to the event, including a photo booth room and free horse and carriage rides (1-5pm, with sign up for spaces starting at 12:30).

With its symbols of love and light, two meaningful words of the holiday season, the tree located at the main entrance of the Genesis Medical Center, Silvis hospital, will be adorned with ornaments, each representing a donation in honor or in memory of someone special.
