Fresh Face of St. Ambrose Church in Milan

MILAN, IL – November 2017 –Not only will St. Ambrose Catholic Church (312 West First Street) be showcasing its renovations during a Community Open House on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, but its pastor will also be shedding his three-year old beard.

“In October 2014, I promised the congregation I would not shave until we had handicap access,” said Fr. Charles Klamut. “Looks like it turned into a little more than I bargained for.”

IDES holds Open House at the Rock Island American Job Center

The Illinois Department of Employment Security has enhanced its services at its Rock Island American Job Center office and held an Open House at the facility on Monday.

Director Jeff Mays, IDES Deputy Director Trina Taylor and local dignitaries from the Quad Cities area officially opened the doors at the 500 42nd Street Rock Island office.

Grassley, senators, call on Commerce Secretary to conduct economic analysis of NAFTA changes to Ag Sector

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) joined a bipartisan letter to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross asking the Administration to conduct a robust economic analysis to evaluate how changes to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) would affect changes to the nation’s crop and livestock sectors.
