DES MOINES, IA (04/12/2017) (readMedia)-- State Treasurer Michael L. Fitzgerald announced that, as a result of Tuesday's online Invest in Iowa auction, $50 million will be deposited in 22 financial institutions across the state. The state will receive an average rate of return of 1.29% on these six-month certificates of deposit. "We continue to see significant interest in this program," Fitzgerald said.

The Clinton Area Showboat Theatre (CAST) will be holding a fundraiser at the Clinton Hy-Vee Market Grille from 4:00pm-10:00pm on Friday, April 21st. The Market Grille will donate 25 % of their sales during this time to CAST, with all bar tips being donated to the organization as well. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Showboat’s 2017 professional Summer productions, educational Intern Program, and summer camps for children.
