SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (June 15, 2026) — The Scott Emergency Communications Center (SECC) experienced an intermittent disruption earlier today affecting some incoming 911 calls.

The issue began at approximately 4:40PM and lasted for about thirty minutes. During that time, some 911 calls were received successfully, while others appeared as abandoned and/or dropped calls.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 15, 2026) — Julie Rice LMHC joined Des Moines University Clinic — Behavioral Health as a licensed therapist. She will provide individual and group therapy to clients ages eighteen and up. Her experience includes helping people in outpatient mental-health settings, using a range of approaches to teach coping skills and support change — such as talk therapy, problem-solving strategies, and techniques to manage thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
