WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (January 11, 2024) — Purple and Proud: The Campaign for Des Moines University has twice surpassed its funding goals.

The campaign was publicly launched in December 2018 with an initial goal to raise $25 million. Following donors' generous support, DMU announced the extension and doubling of the campaign goal in December 2020 to further support the university's mission.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (January 11, 2024) — Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and Iowa State University Athletics are giving basketball fans a chance to cheer on the Cyclones in Kansas City with the “Hilton South” Farm Strong® Challenge.

One grand-prize winner will receive two all-session passes for the Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament on March 12–16, a $900 hotel gift card, a $150 Cy’s Locker Room gift card, and Iowa State “Farm Strong” apparel.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (January 11, 2024) — Monmouth College will host a celebration of the life and impact of the Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr on January 15.

The MLK Day event will feature inspirational music and a keynote address by the Rev Charles Burton, a 1992 Monmouth graduate. Free and open to the public, the event will be held at 11AM in Dahl Chapel and Auditorium.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (January 11, 2024) — The Dean's List at Coe is an elite achievement — the college recognized only 116 students for the Fall 2023 Term. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the term and rank in the top 10% of the student body.
