DES MOINES, IOWA (January 14, 2020) — Ducks Unlimited and its conservation partners applaud the announcement Tuesday by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds encouraging legislators to improve water quality and soil health by fully funding the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 14, 2020) — In today's Condition of the State address, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds recommended fully funding the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund in her 2020 budget. Voters approved the trust fund in 2010 to conserve Iowa's natural resources, but has remained unfunded for the past decade.

On January 14, Senator Elizabeth Warren released a "Plan to Cancel Student Debt on Day One of My Presidency." Warren would use the US Department of Education’s "broad legal authority" to cancel up to $50,000 of debt on behalf of up to 42 million borrowers.

LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN (January 14, 2020) — The following area students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year, ending December 2019.        Qualification for the Dean's List is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade-point average and carried a minimum of 12 credits.  

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA (January 14, 2020) — Kaylee Millard of East Moline, Illinois, was named to the Dean's List by Dr Troy Shoemaker, president of Pensacola Christian College, for academic achievement during the 2019 fall semester. This was a result of earning a semester grade-point average of 3.00 or higher.

FAYETTE, IOWA (January 14, 2020) — The online undergraduate programs at Upper Iowa University (UIU) are once again ranked among the top online bachelor degree programs nationwide by US News and World Report. The recognition also includes being ranked among the best online programs for veterans.
