HARROGATE, TENNESSEE (June 9, 2025) — Lincoln Memorial University has announced the Dean's List for the spring semester for 2025. Over 660 undergraduates were recognized for achieving high academic honors. To be placed on Dean's List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 or higher grade-point-average for the semester.

ELMHURST, ILLINOIS (June 9, 2025) — Esther Brown, of Geneseo, Illinois, was among more than 1,000 students named to Elmhurst University's Spring 2025 Dean's List.

The Dean's List is composed of students who during the term concerned, attained a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher (out of a possible 4.00).

BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 9, 2025) — The Downtown Bettendorf Organization (DBO) is pleased to announce that local artist William Gustafson has been chosen to paint a new mural located on the west-facing wall at 312 17th St, across from City Hall.

Titled Arches, the concept of the mural is to show the viewer the time periods through the arches. Gustafson will paint the mural in June with an unveiling planned in early July.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 6, 2025) — Alternating Currents (AC) and Quad City Arts are now accepting qualifications from artists and muralists for the 2025 Alternating Currents Mural Fest, a vibrant public-art initiative bringing large-scale murals to downtown Davenport, Bettendorf, and Rock Island this August. Five artists or artist teams will be selected to create murals on five separate walls, each receiving a $5,000 stipend for their work.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (June 5, 2025) — Monmouth College will soon be looking back fifty years as it hosts a golden anniversary reunion of its Class of 1975. Part of the annual Golden Scots Celebration, which brings alumni back to campus from 45 years ago and beyond, the reunion will take place June 5-8.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 5, 2025) — I’ll Make Me a World in Iowa, Iowa’s African American Festival, joins countless others in mourning the tragic passing of Dr. Hal S. Chase, a respected historian, educator, and longtime advocate for African American history in Iowa. Dr Chase died in a car accident on May 22.
