US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Implements $10 Fee for H-1B Visa Registration

WASHINGTON DC (November 7, 2019) — US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced a final rule that will require a $10 non-refundable fee for each H-1B registration submitted by petitioning employers, once it implements the electronic-registration system. The registration fee is part of an agency-wide effort to modernize and process applications more efficiently to live or work in the United States.

Hy-Vee to Host Annual Veterans Day Events on Monday, November 11

Iowa Department of Revenue (IDR) Issues New Income Withholding Tax Tables for 2020

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 4, 2019) — The Iowa Department of Revenue is issuing updated income-tax withholding tables for 2020 to continue to align Iowa withholding with recent changes in state tax-laws.

For individuals, this means that employers will be reducing the amount of Iowa tax withheld from employees' paychecks, beginning January 1, 2020, increasing take-home wages for individuals.
