MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (February 19, 2020) — Sam Vaghar, a social entrepreneur who leads a dynamic and growing global non-profit organization with the mission to empower young people to effect change, will give the 2020 commencement address at Monmouth College.

Vaghar will also receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree from the College.

Monmouth College's 163rd Commencement exercises will be held at 12PM, May 17, on the Wallace Hall Plaza.

BUFFALO, NEW YORK (February 18, 2020) — Blake Wareham, of Bettendorf, Iowa (52722), was named to the Canisius College Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester.

Wareham is one of more than 1,100 Canisius College undergraduate students named to the fall 2019 Dean's List. To qualify, students must have attained a grade-point average of at least 3.50 for the semester and completed at least four courses of three credits or equivalent.

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA (February 18, 2020) — Joseph Field of Bettendorf, Iowa is one of the nearly 600 cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements during the fall 2019 semester.

FAYETTE, IOWA (February 18, 2020) — Upper Iowa University (UIU) has signed a Transfer Majors agreement with Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) to provide participating students with a specific pathway to meet degree requirements. EICC announced the innovative statewide plan Tuesday, February 18, at the Scott Community College (SCC) Urban Campus in Davenport.

WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (02/18/2020) — Vincent Klim from Bettendorf, Iowa, earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement on December 21, 2019.

Klim graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in entrepreneurship.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (February 18, 2020) — Jackson Katz, PhD, who is internationally renowned for his pioneering scholarship and activism on issues of gender, race, and violence, will present “Culture of Respect: Ending Campus Sexual Violence” at 7PM, Wednesday, March 25, in McCormick Gymnasium on the University of Dubuque campus.
