On May 3, 2018, at the Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa in Coralville, Iowa ITEC (Iowa Technology Education Connection) sponsored its eastern student technology fair. Several QC area students who participated in the Rivermont Collegiate Technology Fair in April were eligible to present their projects at the event.

The ceremony celebrates the induction of the student into the profession of teaching. Thirty-eight students from LAS College with majors in English, history, mathematics, music, earth science and world languages and cultures completed the program.

FAYETTE, IA (05/05/2018) "What will define you?" Upper Iowa University (UIU) alumnus and commencement speaker Marshall Richards shared this question, often posed to him throughout his life by his father, with graduates attending UIU's commencement ceremonies Saturday. The ceremonies, a morning and afternoon ceremony depending on the degree received were held at Harms-Eischeid Stadium under mostly sunny skies in Fayette, Iowa.
