WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (December 4, 2024) — High school and college students interested in health-care careers are invited to Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences' Mini Medical School, a free four-week program designed to provide hands-on insights into the medical field. Held every Tuesday evening in February 2025, the program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside DMU faculty and students in an engaging, real-world learning environment.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (December 3, 2024) — Augustana College’s Barbara A Roseman Center for Speech, Language, and Hearing is offering assessment appointments for individuals with tinnitus interested in using the FDA-approved Lenire treatment device.

Augustana’s Dr Ann Perreau, associate professor of communication sciences and disorders and the Audiology Clinic coordinator, said the Roseman Center in 2023 became one of the first clinics in Illinois approved to provide Lenire.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (December 2, 2024) — Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences Marketing and Communications Department has won five prestigious 2024 Best of District VI awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. CASE awards recognize institutions that set the bar for excellence in alumni relations, fundraising, advancement services, special events, and marketing and communications. PELLA, IOWA (November 26, 2024) — Silas Harris of Muscatine, Class of 2025, was a member of the Central Theatre's performance of A Christmas Carol, November 13-16, 2024.
