MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 29, 2024) — Topics ranging from "the arts to the sciences" — or, specifically, from music to rocks from outer space and sourdough bread — are on tap for this year's Great Lecture Series at Monmouth College.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 23, 2024) You may have heard that Monmouth College has a new president, as Patricia Draves has returned to the school where she taught chemistry from 2002-06 to lead the institution. Her inauguration ceremony will be held at 2PM, October 4, on Wallace Hall Plaza as part of Homecoming weekend festivities.

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN (August 22, 2024) — Ryan Nickel, from Rock Island, Illinois, graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in Spring 2024. Nickel received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and BioMolecular Engineering with Honors.

Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.70 or above are listed as having graduated with "High Honors." Undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA between 3.20 and 3.69 are listed as having graduated with "Honors."

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 21, 2024) — State Treasurer Roby Smith, a member of the Iowa Centennial Memorial Foundation, announces Christian Baluyut of Clinton is to receive a Robert D Blue scholarship award for the 2024-2025 school year. The Robert D Blue Scholarship, which is given by the Foundation, awarded seven Iowa students based on financial need, an original essay, academic achievement, and recommendations. The recipients represented five Iowa counties.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 20, 2024) — For the fourth year in a row, Monmouth College has been named to the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll. The list recognizes excellence in the development and support of dynamic and innovative pathways for community college transfer students.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 20, 2024) — Augustana College announces the selection of Irene Karedis Borys to serve as the assistant vice president of marketing and brand communication. Borys, who most recently served as vice president of client experience and integrator for The Childress Agency, started at the college August 19.
