CLINTON, ILLINOIS (October 29, 2020) — Halloween will be different this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advises skipping traditional trick-or-treating and other festivities involving crowds — which are high-risk for spreading the virus.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 29, 2020) — A temporary community-based COVID-19 drive-through testing site will return to Rock Island County 31 October-1 November.

Free testing will be in the parking lot of the Camden Centre located within Camden Park, 2701 1st St, Milan. Hours are 9AM-5PM.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 28, 2020) — In early October, The Center for Disease Control (CDC) acknowledged that people can become infected with COVID-19 through airborne transmission, especially in enclosed spaces with inadequate ventilation. As Iowa closes up for winter, the need for upgraded HVAC systems and improved ventilation in classrooms become an increasing concern.

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 7, 2020) — The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Davenport will stay open for a few days longer than previously announced. It will now close permanently on Friday, October 16, at 6PM.
