DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 11, 2023) — The US Food and Drug Administration has finalized its recommendations on changes to donor eligibility that will have US blood providers move to an individual risk-assessment to determine eligibility for blood donation. Blood establishments in the US may now implement these recommendations by revising donor history questionnaires, data systems, staff training, and procedures.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 8, 2023) — As of Sunday, May 7, the American Red Cross has provided 4,322 meals to those affected by the flooding in the Quad Cities. The Red Cross will continue daily meal service through Wednesday, May 10, serving lunch daily 12-2PM and dinner 5-7PM.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 2, 2023) — The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Quad Cities area residents to attend their annual Memories in the Making event on Friday, May 19, 5:30–9:30PM, at the Figge Art Museum. Paintings created by locals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia in the Memories in the Making Art Therapy program will be available to bid on in a silent and live auction.
