Gilda’s Club Quad Cities to Host Annual Cancer Awareness Motorcycle Ride with a Twist

DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 8, 2023) — Gilda’s Club Quad Cities is very excited to announce our Red Door Ride on September 16, with a fun twist. The Red Door Ride, formerly known as QC Cancer Awareness Ride and QC Ride for the Cure. This will be our 16th year hosting the ride. We are partnering with the Rust Belt to have a benefit concert the same night with an exciting performance from the Spazmatics! Concert Ticket is included with ride registration.

Scott County Board Announces Paul Andorf as Selection for MEDIC EMS of Scott County Director

DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 4, 2023) — Ken Beck, Scott County Board Chair, announced the appointment of Paul Andorf as the Director for Scott County’s newly established MEDIC EMS Department at the Board of Supervisor’s meeting this evening. Scott County will formally acquire MEDIC EMS on January 1, 2024.

Free Scholarships Available to Community Members for Emotional Intelligence Course

DUBUQUE, IOWA (July 25, 2023) — Challenge to Change Inc, a wellness-education company, has partnered with the Eastern Iowa Mental Health and Disability Services Region (EIR) to offer free scholarships for a nine-week course on emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is known as the ability to be smart with one’s feelings.
