DES MOINES, IOWA (January 8, 2020) - As of January 7, Governor Kim Reynolds has signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that modifies existing public-health measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The proclamation continues to require that when people are in an indoor public space, and unable to social-distance for 15 minutes or longer, masks are required to be worn.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 5, 2021) — Anyone who has dreamed of becoming a published poet, may make his or her dream come true through the Iowa Poetry Association's (IPA) 2021 Lyrical Iowa Poetry Contest. Lyrical Iowa is IPA's annual anthology of poetry published since 1946 featuring more than 300 poems. The contest is open to anyone with an Iowa address.

Featuring never-before-published letters, photographs, and family artifacts, the film explores the context in which Wilder lived and wrote, as well as the true nature of her personality.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 16, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds received the latest recommendations from the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa initiative task forces at the Iowa Rural Development Council quarterly meeting. These recommendations came out of the Invest, Grow, and Connect task forces which fielded input from industry leaders, task-force members, and the public.
