All five Ensembles perform side-by-side with another ensemble, including a performance of the Youth Symphony Orchestra with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra featuring the QCSYE Concerto Competition Grand Prize Winner. Ensemble members come from the greater Quad Cities, as well as other communities in southeast Iowa and northwest Illinois.

All five Youth Ensembles will perform, and the QCSYE Concerto Competition YSO Prize Winner will perform with the Youth Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of the outstanding QCSYE conducting staff, members have the opportunity to perform great orchestral and choral repertoire with the most talented young musicians in the area. Ensemble members come from the greater Quad Cities, as well as other communities in southeast Iowa and northwest Illinois.

A different kind of Christmas concert will take place in a few days and if you play the tuba or the euphonium, you’re welcome to join the fun. The 27th Annual QC TubaChristmas concert will be Saturday, Dec. 8, 2-3 p.m. at SouthPark Mall, former Younkers court, Moline. Bring your family and friends and enjoy this free public concert filled with holiday music and traditional carols.

West Music is offering a whole new Black Friday experience for customers, providing free live music by well-known area artists and refreshments at each West Music store between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23rd.

Line Up:

Jason Vieaux, a highly praised classical guitarist with accomplishments ranging from symphony soloist to a Grammy Award winner, will provide outreach engagements in Quad City schools and community sites from Nov. 26 through Dec. 7, with a solo recital in Davenport on Dec. 8.

On Sale Friday, November 2 at 10 am  

The first Come Together Quad Cities Food Drive fundraising event supporting the River Bend Foodbank and local QC families in need is set for 2:30-6 pm, Nov. 4, at the River Music Experience, Davenport.

The event includes live music and a silent auction featuring hand painted guitars and ukuleles from local artists. One guitar includes a tribute to local musicians Ellis Kell, Nate Nicholson, and Bob Enlow.

Get ready to hear your favorite jazz classics from the 1920s-40s performed live at Hauberg Estate! George Gershwin was the legendary composer behind songs, such as, "Rhapsody in Blue", which are still popular today. On November 10th, professional pianist/vocalist, Freddy Allen, will give a live performance of Gershwin's most-loved songs in the Tulip Room of the Hauberg Mansion. Guests will also enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
