DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 4, 2019) — The University of Dubuque Wind and Jazz ensembles will present their joint fall concert, “Wanderlust: The Desire to Travel,” at 3PM, Saturday, November 2, in Heritage Center’s John and Alice Butler Hall.

The concert will be under the direction of Cassandra Bechard, wind ensemble conductor, and Nolan Hauta, jazz-ensemble conductor. Be prepared to take a journey with the ensembles as they explore numerous cultures, time-periods, and styles of music.

 

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 4, 2019) — Due to sudden illness, soprano Katherine Jolly is unable to join the Quad City Symphony Orchestra (QCSO) for Masterworks I: Statement on October 5 and 6. The QCSO is pleased to announce that soprano Carrie Shaw will join the orchestra to perform the world premiere of the QCSO Commission Autumn Rivulets by David Dzubay.

The event will feature students from the UD Department of Fine and Performing Arts, including singers from the UD Choir, under the direction of Kristen Eby, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities.
