MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 7, 2023) — Since 1953, The Moline Foundation has awarded more than $43 Million in grants to area non-profits. This has been made possible through the generosity of The Moline Foundation’s donors — individuals, families, and organizations committed to improving our region’s quality of life.

Spring 2023 grant applications for The Moline Foundation are now being accepted for capital or program needs of local non-profits.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 28, 2023) — Renew Moline will host a visit from the members of Urban Land Institute on Wednesday, March 1, and Thursday, March 2, 2023. In 2021, Renew Moline — in partnership with the City of Moline, MetroLINK, and the John Deere Foundation — contracted with ULI to conduct an Advisory Panel, bringing together experts from around the country to discuss future of the I-74 bridge redevelopment area.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 28, 2023) — Through its annual Ride 50 auto loan promotion, Ascentra Credit Union and its members raised $16,900 for the local Salvation Army in 2022, including $10,600 for The Salvation Army of the Quad Cities and $2,450 for the Salvation Army of Moline.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (February 23, 2023) — Where the Watch Tower Plaza once stood in southwest Rock Island now stretches a 23-acre vacant lot. Just across the street from the lot — which was cleared in 2015 to make way for a Walmart Supercenter that never came, displacing a supermarket, a drug store, a salon, and other local retailers — a non-profit called Positive Brothers United (PBU) is bringing new resources to community members in the area.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 2, 2023) — If you’re a QC Boomeranger, the Quad Cities Chamber wants you to share your story. A QC Boomeranger is someone who was born and raised in the Quad Cities, moved away for an extended period, and then decided to move back to the Quad Cities. In essence, they boomeranged back home.

CORALVILLE, IOWA (February 1, 2023) — The Iowa Women’s Foundation (IWF) is now accepting applications for 2024 Core Grants. Grant recipients will receive up to $25,000 for programs focusing specifically on one of the six primary barriers to self-sufficiency for women and girls: Child-care, mentorship, transportation, housing, education/training, and employment.
