Home Child Care Program Provides Entrepreneurial Solutions for Professionals and Families

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 28, 2023) — When Eve Minor had her first child, she faced a challenge familiar to parents all across the Quad Cities region and beyond: How could she juggle working full-time and raising her young family, especially in an area with limited options for affordable child-care? She decided to offer child-care services out of her home, allowing her to stay with her own child while earning an income and supporting other parents up against the same dilemma.

Rock Island County Families Invited to Apply for New Program Supporting Home Ownership

EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 27, 2023) — Rock Island County Housing Finance Corporation (RICHFC) is pleased to announce a new guided pathway to home ownership for families in Rock Island County. The new program is called I‐HOPE — Independence through Home Ownership Program Equity. I‐HOPE will connect 25 area families with up to $35,000 in forgivable grant funds to assist with down‐ payment and closing costs on a primary residence, single‐family home in Rock Island County.

Homeowner Armando Aguilar is looking forward to having enough space for himself and his two teenage children.
