BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 30, 2023) — In partnership with Disaster Ready Quad Cities, the Quad Cities Community Foundation is currently accepting donations to the Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund to support Quad Cities non-profits supporting households impacted by the collapse of 324 Main Street in downtown Davenport, Iowa, over the weekend.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 18, 2023) — “Each year we select a Veterans organization to receive $1000 just before the Kwik Star Criterium Ford Pro Men's race at 4:20 PM on Memorial Day. The Final Salute is this year's recipient. Lanae Strovers created The Final Salute to bury unclaimed veterans’ cremated remains with full honors,” announces John Harrington of the Quad Cities Bicycle club. “It’s her life’s cause and we want to help her this year.”

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 16, 2023) Thirty students were awarded $59,650 in scholarships from endowed funds administered by the Moline Foundation. Students came from schools around the area, as well as two colleges and a homeschooled student.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 15, 2023) — Our annual Golf "FORE" Homes fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, June 9, 2023 at Indian Bluff Golf Course in Milan with a shotgun start at 8:30AM. This scramble tournament is a fun event you won't want to miss. We will have prizes for our top teams and golfers and raffle baskets.

Registration includes a delicious lunch after the tournament and a grab bag of goodies for every golfer. Foursomes are $300; individuals, $75.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 15, 2023) — Young people cry out for help all over Iowa and rural Illinois. They have been disrespected, bullied, name-called, and physically attacked — all because of who they are as LGBTQ+ human beings. Many feel isolated and lonely and commit acts of self-harm. The rhetoric is amplified by targeted hate legislation that came out of Iowa this Spring, and by politicians currying votes in stoking fear of “the other,” who isn’t “like us.”

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 12, 2023) — In an effort to make the world a more accepting place for individuals of all abilities, on June 3, 2023, GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities, the local Down syndrome achievement center, is working alongside our network of more than sixty playhouses, throughout the United States and Mexico, to host a GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge event. They will hold their annual SUPERHERO 5K run, 1 Mile walk, and Kids Dash for Down syndrome.
