The Community Awards showcases individual excellence in leadership as demonstrated by outstanding initiative, impact of work, and inspiration of others. All recipients must be under the age of 40 at the time of the celebration to be eligible.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (December 14, 2021) — The Illinois Housing Development Authority has announced applications are now open for the second round of the Illinois Rental Payment (ILRPP) program. The reopening of ILRPP will provide an additional $297 million to renters and landlords/housing provider in an effort to prevent evictions and keep families safe and secure while they regain their financial footing.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (December 14, 2021) — Volunteers with the Illinois Red Cross are answering the call once more here at home and in communities impacted by devastating tornadoes that touched down this weekend across multiple states in the center of the country. Volunteers spent the weekend assessing damages and distributing emergency supplies, such as tarps to impacted residents in Cass and Fayette counties in Central and South Central Illinois.
