DES MOINES, IOWA (September 28, 2022) — On September 27, Governor Kim Reynolds announced the State of Iowa will end Fiscal Year 2022 with a balance of $1.91 billion in the General Fund, $830 million in reserve funds, and $1.06 billion in the Taxpayer Relief Fund.

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 20, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate is encouraging all Iowa high schools to participate in a statewide effort to register students to vote. Each school that registers at least ninety percent of their eligible students to vote will receive the Carrie Chapman Catt Award, named after the Iowan who was a national leader in the women’s-suffrage movement.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (September 19, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate presented the Carrie Chapman Catt Award to Rivermont Collegiate on Thursday, September 15. The award goes to any school that registers at least 90% of eligible students to vote. Last year was the school’s third time achieving the award.
