DES MOINES, IOWA (July 28, 2022) — Saturday, July 30, is World Day Against Human Trafficking and Secretary of State Paul Pate is working with the Iowa Department of Public Safety and the Iowa Department of Transportation to raise awareness about the issue. Their combined goal is to make Iowa a trafficking-free state.

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 25, 2022) — Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg of Iowa has become Chair-Elect of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) at the organization’s annual meeting. Lt Gov Gregg will serve one year in the position of Chair Elect and then assume the Chairmanship of the organization at an Annual Meeting in Des Moines, Iowa, in August of 2023.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 12, 2022) — Scott County Auditor, Kerri Tompkins announced today that the filing period for candidates for non-party political organizations (NPPOs) and candidates nominated by petition for the upcoming General Election, held on November 8, 2022, has been modified to run from Monday, August 8, to Wednesday, August 31, 5PM. Non-party political organizations in Iowa include the Libertarian Party and the Green Party.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 24, 2022) — Iowans can now submit new notary commission applications online through the Fast Track Filing system, Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate has announced. This addition will allow notaries to apply for a new commission from the comfort of their home, without having to scan in documents any longer.
