Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities (MCCQC) invites the community to attend the Annual Chili Cook-Off and Cookie Contest on Sunday, March 18 from 4:30-7pm. DAVENPORT, Iowa, March 7, 2018 – MCCQC invites the public to attend the Annual Chili Cook-off and Cookie Contest held at the church located at 2930 West Locust, Davenport, across from the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.

The Machine Shed Restaurant is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The Machine Shed opened its first location in 1978 on the outskirts of Davenport, Iowa. Starting with only 100 seats, and a powerful commitment: “Dedicated to the American Farmer.” That five-word dedication meant working hard to have a restaurant that wasn’t just ‘farm themed’ but something that farmers could be proud of. The Machine Shed now has six locations across the Midwest. The food is made from scratch, daily.

DAVENPORT, IOWA– During the month of February, nearly 50 area businesses and organizations will be involved in collecting funds and food for River Bend Foodbank by taking part in the Community Hunger Drive. The businesses will be holding a variety of activities throughout the month to engage their employees in raising donations for River Bend Foodbank.
