Back from the Dead: Discover Haunted Attractions and More in Downtown Rock Island

BETTENDORF, IOWA (September 26, 2024) — The Rock Island Downtown Alliance is excited to present Back from the Dead October 12-13, 2024, a new event promoting the diverse mix of attractions awaiting discovery downtown during the fall season leading up to Halloween. Free trolley rides will be provided for the public to patronize spooky and not-so-spooky places throughout downtown. Activities include haunted houses and tours, tarot card readings, retail vendor markets and more.

Kiwanis Club of Moline to Host Trivia Night Fundraiser September 13

MOLINE, ILLILNOIS (September 9, 2024) — After a “COVID-caused” hiatus for the past several years, the Kiwanis Club of Moline is once again hosting their annual trivia night fundraiser! Last time the club held their event, it raised over $2,500 used specifically to benefit local youth charities and youth-based programs in Moline, and surrounding communities. DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 4, 2024) — Red, White, and Boom! will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, in downtown Davenport and Rock Island. At 9:30PM, fireworks will be shot, in sync to music broadcast on 97X, from two barges in the middle of the Mississippi River.
