Hello!
If you missed the shows at the Adler Theatre last week, there are plenty more coming to make up for it! The second installment of the Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra Masterwork Series takes place Saturday Night. Turn up the dial on Monday and experience a hot new Broadway musical full of explosive dancing, irresistible songs, and a tale of fame and love during Memphis. See more live talent when the stars of America's Got Talent arrives on Wednesday.
There's quite a bit of hustle and bustle at the River Music Experience this weekend! The 10th Annual Smooth Jazz Fall Festival kicks off on Friday featuring a performance by jazz guitarist Paul Brown. On Saturday, discuss the history of jazz, era's of jazz, and more with Marion Meadows during a Smooth Jazz Workshop. Stick around for the Don Estes Student Showcase "Musical Spooks" right after and then a saxophone performance by Marion Meadows later that night! Until then, boost your spirits at the high-energy live show by Davina and the Vagabonds in the Redstone Room tonight.
With the end of October quickly approaching, it's time for another Final Friday! Decorate your own masquerade mask and wear it around Bucktown Center for the Arts for their Halloween edition of Final Friday. Enjoy special fall drinks, light fares, flash light shows, and face painting throughout the galleries. Check out some magic by Mathew Lovecraft or get a photo with a cool Halloween backdrop in the Small Wonders Photography studio at a discounted price. It's a night of fun for the whole family!
Take a night off from cooking dinner and head to the Figge for their last cookout of the season instead! After dinner, learn more about the newest exhibition, Walter Haskell Hinton: Illustrator of Corporate History, during the Curator Gallery Talk with Nathan Augustine. Looking for something new to do this weekend? Polish your handwriting to a beautiful finish with the Petrarch style on Saturday by attending the Art of Handwriting Workshop. Don't forget to mark PechaKucha Night down on the calendar for next Thursday, too
Stop at the Freight House Farmers Market on Saturday and buy local this weekend! Be sure to bring the kids along for the Halloween Costume Parade in the morning. Speaking of parades, this year's Halloween Parade will be on Thursday, October 31, starting at 7 p.m.  Click here for the parade route. Don't let your sweet tooth miss the opportunity to Trick-or-Treat in Davenport on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Be sure to visit the Jaycees Haunted House while you still can, too.
