Iowa Biodiesel Producers Concerned by EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard Plan

ANKENY, IOWA (October 15, 2019) — The Iowa Biodiesel Board today expressed apprehension over the Trump Administration’s new plans for fulfilling federal renewable-fuel requirements, saying it appears to run contrary to a previously agreed-upon deal with President Trump. The group will join other renewable fuel and farm advocates in examining the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed supplemental rule for the Renewable Fuel Standard, released today.

LENEXA, KANSAS (October 15, 2019) — Today, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking seeking additional comment on the recently-proposed rule to establish the cellulosic biofuel, advanced biofuel, and total renewable-fuel volumes for 2020 and the biomass-based diesel-volume for 2021 under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program.

Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue Statement on Administrative Actions to Streamline H-2A Process

WASHINGTON DC (September 20, 2019) — Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue issued the following statement highlighting actions announced by the Department of Labor (DOL) which will modernize the burdensome H2A visa process. First, DOL published a common-sense rule that eliminates the requirement to advertise a job-opening in print newspapers instead shifting to advertising on the DOL and State Workforce Agency websites, which are further reaching and more cost-effective.
