The public returns record number of potentially dangerous prescription drugs

City of Davenport will observe the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th.

All City of Davenport offices & the Public Works Center will be closed.

Police Department front desk and records office will be closed.

Library Main, Fairmount and Eastern branches will be closed.

River’s Edge facility will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd.

Mr. President, in the last several weeks, there’s been a lot of discussion regarding the blue slip courtesy that applies to judicial nominations. So I want to take a moment to clarify a few things. IOWA (KWQC)- Aldermen, Mayor Klipsch, Police Chiefs, Juvenile Justice Leaders and more are all coming together to help change the Juvenile Justice System in Iowa.

"We are looking for the legislature to come together to make some changes in juvenile laws," Scott County Sheriff Tim Lane says.

Those changes include harsher penalties for kids who steal cars.

After a few more meetings, the bill will be drafted by State Senator Roby Smith (R) 47th Dist.

On October 22nd through October 25th the Scott County Sex Offender Task Force, along with deputies of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Sheriff’s Office Reserves, members of the Sheriff’s Office Senior Volunteers, the Iowa Department of Corrections, the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations, the Bettendorf Police Department and the Davenport Police Department, conducted a sex offender compliance check operation.

On Tuesday, October 17th, 2017, around 9:15pm, two females stole two charity jars off the counter of Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard in LeClaire, Iowa. One of the jars contained donations for “Dimes for Dogs”, which goes to local animal shelters. The other jar contained donations that were meant for the family of Zach Francis, a local young man who passed away unexpectedly at the end of September.

On November 6, 2017 at approximately 21:01 hours the Scott County Sheriffs Office received a 911 emergency call regarding a robbery at the Mt. Joy BP/Amoco gas station located at 21010 Brady Street.
