On September 4, patrons of Davenport's Figge Art Museum are invited to explore a period of artistry, innovation, and cultural richness in a special Curator Talk held in conjunction with The Golden Age: Featuring Northern European Works from the Collection of the National Gallery of Art, an exhibition showcase of masterpieces from one of the world's finest collections.

At the Rock Island Public Library's Watts-Midtown Branch through 30, works by three gifted area visual artists will be displayed in the exhibition Image & Idea, an arresting showcase for the works of Tony Seabolt, Lisa Mahar, and Jeff Ignatius.

Run by Quad City Arts and open to youth ages 15 to 21, Metro Arts is a paid, five-week summer apprenticeship in which participants work side by side with professional artists on real, public-facing projects. From murals and mosaics to poetry, live performances, and digital storytelling, apprentices shape and improve the creative landscape of the Quad Cities while gaining invaluable professional experience.

On July 24, art collectors David and Sarojini Johnson will join artist Joseph Lappie at Davenport's Figge Art Museum for an incisive and engaging discussion on Fever Dreams: German Expressionism, exhibition featuring German prints. the arresting current exhibition featuring loans from the David and Sarojini Johnson Print Collection.
