ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (September 9, 2026) — YWCA Quad Cities is raising awareness about diaper need in the Quad Cities and calling on the community to help keep local babies and toddlers clean, dry, and healthy during National Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 14–20.

Diaper need is a growing challenge for families across the country. Nationally, one in two US families struggles to provide enough diapers to meet their baby or toddler’s basic needs.

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 9, 2026) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate is urging all Iowa high schools to register their eligible students to vote by participating in the prestigious Carrie Chapman Catt Award program, now that the sign-up window has opened as of August 26.

Build a Dream Fundraiser will be held at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino and Hotel on October 16, 2026.

Doors open at 5:30PM for cocktails and conversation. A buffet dinner will be served at 6PM and the program will begin at 7PM.
