Item of Interest Flood Update 8AM 10.9.18

Due to rising river levels, the City is closing River Drive between 3rd and Brady streets to install flood protection.  The closure will be in place around 8am this morning, Tuesday, October 9.

Eastbound traffic is detoured up Brady to 3rd Street to River Drive.  Westbound traffic is detoured at 4th St, to Harrison, to River Drive.

Oct. 8, 2018 — Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. To help meet the constant demand for lifesaving blood donations and prevent blood shortages this winter, the American Red Cross is urging individuals and organizations to be winter heroes by hosting and supporting a blood drive.

Item of Interest Flood Update 10.8.18

Rain this past week, combined with more in the forecast, has resulted in changes to the projected crest of the Mississippi. The river is now forecast to crest at 16.8 FT on Thursday, October 11.  River levels are expected to hover around 16.5 FT to 16.7 FT most of the week.

The current river level is 16.11 FT.

Based on the current and projected river levels, the following flood impacts and measures have been or will occur in the coming days.
