WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa made the following statement regarding today’s White House meeting with President Trump to discuss the Renewable Fuel Standard. The meeting was also attended by Sens. Joni Ernst, Ted Cruz and Pat Toomey, as well as EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt and USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack released the following statement today in response to reports that President Trump reiterated his commitment to allowing year round sales of fuel composed of 15 percent ethanol, instead of the 10 percent that is currently blended in the supply. Also at the meeting, a harmful proposal that would have created a new Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) waiver credit program was taken off the table.

Museum to host second rooftop concert on Saturday with help from RME

DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 8, 2018) — It isn’t every day a band takes to a rooftop in the Quad Cities to play a concert. It will happen for the second time with the return of the Putnam’s free rooftop concert on Saturday, May 12.

The museum will host musicians with the River Music Experience, honoring the memory of the late American rocker Tom Petty.

On May 3, 2018, at the Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa in Coralville, Iowa ITEC (Iowa Technology Education Connection) sponsored its eastern student technology fair. Several QC area students who participated in the Rivermont Collegiate Technology Fair in April were eligible to present their projects at the event.
