DAVENPORT — St. Ambrose University has increased merit- and need-based scholarship offerings by close to 5 percent in the past year while working diligently to keep the cost of a private college education affordable for hard-working families.

The increase in financial assistance stands in contrast to the impact statehouse budget reductions may be having on scholarship funding at some public universities.

WASHINGTON – Senators Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Tuesday reintroduced bipartisan legislation to encourage and reward the use of patented technology to address humanitarian needs.  The bipartisan introduction comes on the eve of World Intellectual Property Day on Wednesday, a day to celebrate and learn about the role of intellectual property rights in promoting innovation.

West Branch, Iowa— Erin Anfinson will be the 2017 Artist-in-Residence at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. The Artist-in-Residence Program promotes creative means of communicating the park's national significance and its relevance to park visitors. Anfinson will be in residence during June and the early part of July. She will lead a free public presentation on Saturday, June 24 at 2 p.m. in the Visitor Center.
