BETTENDORF, IOWA (July 13, 2025) — In response to the severe weather events and the resulting emergency declaration in Scott County, the Quad Cities Community Foundation activated its Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund on Friday, July 11, in order to support response and recovery needs in the region.

Donations to the fund are now being accepted at QCCommunityFoundation.org.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (July 13, 2025) — U-Haul® Company of Eastern Iowa is offering thirty days of free self-storage and U-Box® container usage at three facilities to Quad Cities residents affected by the tornado and flash flooding that occurred on Friday.

The Quad Cities were hit with heavy rains and strong winds, causing residential damage in some areas. An EF2 tornado touched down in Davenport.

Students who attempt twelve graded credits during a fall or spring semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher earn Dean's List honors. Students earning a perfect 4.00 grade-point average on twelve graded credits attempted earn High Dean's List honors.
