ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 17, 2022) — The Rock Island County Health Department is offering walk-in Moderna bivalent (Omicron) boosters to everyone six and older starting Tuesday, October 18, during the regular Moderna vaccination clinic. Hours are 9AM-12PM and 1-4PM.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 17, 2022) — American Red Cross volunteers responded to five home fires in the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois in the past week and provided assistance to six individuals, through supplying them with basic items to meet immediate needs after a fire, and additional support in the form of health and mental-health services and one-on-one support.

PELLA, IOWA (October 14, 2022) — Hailey Glover of Eldridge, Iowa, is one of 36 students in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble at Central College for the 2022-23 academic year. Glover plays the Euphonium. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is an auditioned instrumental group and one of the premier ensembles on campus. Brad Kampe, lecturer of music, is the new band director.
