DES MOINES, IOWA (December 1, 2020) The Iowa State Canvassing Board has officially certified the results of the 2020 general election on Monday. Election turnout was the highest in state history, with more than 1.7 million voters casting ballots. Iowa’s turnout percentage of 76% was one of the highest in the nation.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 1, 2020) Governor Kim Reynolds has announced the appointment of Josh Byrnes, currently general manager of the Osage Municipal Utilities, to serve as a Board Member to the Iowa Utilities Board. Byrnes replaces Nick Wagner who had served in that role since 2013 and departed the IUB in July 2020. The appointment is effective December 14, 2020, and is subject to confirmation by the Iowa Senate.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 30, 2020) — A temporary community-based COVID-19 drive-through testing site will return to Rock Island County this weekend, December 5-6.

Testing will be in the parking lot of the TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline. Hours are 9AM-4PM. Testing is ending an hour earlier than at previous testing-events because of shorter daylight hours.
