AMES, IOWA (June 1, 2020) With the cancelations of running events across the state, OneIA Challenge strives to unite runners and walkers alike. Over $500 has already been raised for local running stores and charities throughout the state. DES MOINES, IOWA (May 29, 2020) — The Iowa Utilities Board issued an order this week approving the Cardinal-Hickory Creek transmission line. This line will enable thousands of megawatts of clean, low-cost, renewable energy to access the electric grid.

WASHINGTON DC (May 29, 2020) — The Paycheck Protection Program is one of the larger and most well-known initiatives that has been created to support small businesses during the novel coronavirus outbreak. PPP was initially funded with $349 billion under the CARES Act and was reauthorized for a second round of funding totaling $310 billion under the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act (PPPHCEA).

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 29, 2020) — The annual Red, White, and Boom fireworks display in downtown Davenport and Rock Island has been rescheduled for July 3, 2021.

“Red, White, and Boom always has been a bi-state event, and in the spirit of regionalism, we felt it was the right thing to do to move the event to a time when both states can participate,” said Jason Gilliliand, Events Director for the Downtown Davenport Partnership. “We look forward to an epic event in 2021.”
